The story behind STEMath Hub

Founder & STEM Education Researcher
Zenda Innovation · Martin County, Florida
"I created STEMath Hub because every student deserves access to quality STEM mathematics, regardless of their language or resources."
STEMath Hub is developed and operated by Jhonny Sarmiento through Zenda Innovation, an educational technology organization based in Martin County, Florida. The platform operates as a nonprofit educational research initiative under the supervision of the Martin County School District IRB.
Jhonny Eduardo Sarmiento Valderrama is an independent researcher in mathematics and STEM education, with over 11 years of teaching experience in Venezuela. He resides in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, and has been connected to the Martin County School District since February 2017. He is the author of two peer-reviewed articles published in the South Florida Journal of Development, focused on mathematics learning and STEM integration.
As an educator working directly with students in Martin County, I observed a critical gap: Spanish-speaking students had limited access to STEM math resources in their language and connected to their everyday reality. Existing English-only platforms did not fill that need. STEMath Hub was born to close that gap.
STEMath Hub is an active educational research project under review by the Martin County School District IRB.
The platform operates fully in English and Spanish, serving Spanish-speaking communities in Florida and beyond.
All content is aligned with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and federal STEM standards, ensuring real educational relevance.
STEMath Hub is open to collaborations with school districts, researchers, educators, and organizations that share our mission of democratizing bilingual STEM education.
